State/ Jackson State annual Southern Heritage Classic held in the city of Memphis on 9/12/09, was absolutely fantastic. Thousand upon thousands of fans, students and alumni of these two great HBCU'S came out to cheer on their team to victory. Fans of the TSU Tigers were thrilled with their teams victory over the Jackson State Tigers (14-7).Thebands of both schools were simply marvelous. They both paid tribute to the late great Michael Jackson with precisioned dance and step routines to the music and songs of the worlds greatest musical entertainer. I would be remiss if i didn't mention the Tailgating Extravaganza enjoyed by all.This was like nothing I had ever witnessed. Scores of folk had big fun laughing, dancing,eating and drinking, conversating and just having a plain good ole time. I look forward to next years' Southern Heritage Classic. If you missed this annual cultural celebration,then i say to you,you missed a great time. See you next year. By the way, Memphis is the BOMB. This years Tenn. Oct 24, Hampton U home coming...where will the big tail gate party be located this year? Last year the Xi's over near the V.A. had the most relaxed and inviting atmosphere for me. Lots of fun, food, and drink for everyone. Big Ups Guys. Keep it popping this year. Also, the Kappa's finished big after dark, adjacent to the field.
