President Obama sure has no qualms being a trailblazer as he is set to make history once again by appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this Thursday. According to NBC, he will be the first sitting President to appear on this type of show.
Obama started his Presidential stint by resurrecting the Whistle Stop Tour, a series of short appearances and speeches through the states on the way to Washington, DC for Inauguration Tuesday. He is only the fourth president to do so. This was thought to be dead because of all of the security measures that are needed to make sure no threats can impede the process of the train.
Barack followed that up by entering office and beginning a series of web addresses. This is not only a direct link to citizens of the digital age but shows the growth of government and its acceptance of change. Remember the whole ordeal with the BarackBerry phone? Technology is such a part of our lives now, it would be silly for the President and the government to suppress it.
What will be the new standards set for the next elected President? What will now become acceptable and what will be expected? I am looking forward to the stiff model of presidency being broken and reformed to reach me as an average citizen. Print Media is Dead!
